Had a great experience working with John. He was really professional, personable and honest from start to finish, and made me feel comfortable throughout the shoot, which made a big difference with it being my first time. John was patient and friendly with my boys today. I had initially booked a session for both of my boys but changed my mind the day before as I wasn’t sure my little one will be able to continue with the shoot. I informed John and he politely accepted to continue the shoot. We forgot our outfit change and this delayed the shoot but John found ways to engage the boys and keep them entertained and busy while we waited. He worked really well with my son and the pictures came out AMAZING! John is brilliant! Thanks Model Portfolio photography. 👏🏾

On arrival, he was very welcoming and polite, he made us all feel relaxed and explained the process step by step before taking any photos. I don’t even know where to start on how amazing our experience was. This was my little boys first ever shoot, so dad and I were uncertain on how he’d take to it. From the moment we arrived John made us all feel super comfortable and was able to very quickly bring my boy out of his shell. He had the best time ever! Ah where to begin… John. The most wonderful man with the calmest nature and positive manner. He handled what could have been a stressful and nerve filled period of time with such care and warmth. An absolute 5 star experience! My 7 yr old daughter had her second photo shoot today with John again. We don’t live in Manchester but after reading the raving reviews we decided it would be worth the travel. We were instantly put at ease with John’s warm character and professional manner. In the comfort of a nice, clean and toasty studio the photo shoot went swimmingly well. John’s directions were fun, scaffolded and clear for my daughter to follow. Everything was captured beautifully in the 120 images we received (plus a few cheeky family photos!). I would definitely recommend John and would happily travel back again. Thanks a million John xx

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars We were looking for someone to capture some natural photos of our two girls to send to an agency, and John was incredible from start to finish. He explained everything clearly before we arrived, there was absolutely no pressure to buy, and everything was completely free until the very end when we viewed the photos and decided whether we wanted to continue. Emily is only four, so the session could have gone either way, and John reassured us that if she wasn’t in the mood, he wouldn’t charge us. But he was amazing with her, he got her smiling, playing, and performing, and we ended up with so many beautiful shots. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re so grateful for everything he did, and we’ll definitely be returning.

Took my Son for photo shoot but his other brothers decided to tag along! I was surprised how he makes all of them feel at home with his small basket ball court 🤣� He was so professional and good at what he does, my 5 years old was so relaxed and we got the best out of him! John made the whole experience effortless from start to finish. His professionalism, experience, exceptional talent and approach really helped our 13 year old daughter relax and enjoy the shoot thoroughly. We are delighted with the results and could not recommend John more. He also organised the most amazing hair stylist, Tayla, who was equally talented and produced many different great looks which made the whole experience all the more special.

We had such a wonderful experience with John today. He was incredibly friendly and professional and instantly put my daughter at ease, which made the whole shoot feel relaxed and enjoyable. Everything about the process was so easy, from start to finish. John’s communication before, during and after the session was excellent, and we felt completely looked after the whole way through. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, we couldn’t be happier with them. On top of that, his pricing was more than reasonable for the quality of work he delivers. Had one of the best days ever with John. We had no set plans or agendas, we just rolled the dice and let our creative juices flow. John brought the extensive knowledge and experience being a master of his trade and I brought the clothes. John made this average Joe look like a A Lister….not a easy task. What can I say about John and the service he supplied? Superb. He made my daughter feel at ease and the hour appointment flew by on account of his professionalism, insider knowledge re on the modelling game, and watching nature. Would I use him again? What an incredible experience for my 13-year-old daughter! I have always been a bit hesitant, but right from the start, John made both me and my daughter feel at ease. He created a very professional and friendly atmosphere, and was extremely informative. Everything went perfectly; my daughter has had the biggest smile on her face since we left. The shoot has gave her a huge boost of confidence, thank you so much for all your time and effort; you truly made it an stress-free day and, on top of that, the best experience for my daughter. We visited John today at Model Portfolio Photography for a shoot with our 7 year old daughter who has downsyndrome. John was amazing with Ida, he engaged her and was patient with her. Booked an appointment for my 16 year old son for his birthday. Great experience from start to finish. John was really helpful when I booked explaining what would happen on the day and what clothes to bring. Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere, my son had a great time and felt at ease, chatting throughout the session. John was very helpful and gave us some great advise and a list of agencies to contact. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

What an incredible experience my young daughter just had being photographed by the lovely John. She was instantly at ease in John’s presence and his years of knowledge and experience in the field was evident right from the start. He gave excellent direction throughout the shoot, made it really fun but most impressively he happily encouraged my daughter to show off her own poses and got the absolute best out of her and the time we had. The pictures are stunning and he caught every last pose/expression. The internet does not lie, John is THE BEST. Very reasonably priced too for such a high skillset which is an added bonus! The entire experience felt very positive and welcoming. The photographer John was brilliant and very professional with his work and always had time to speak to you. The entire photoshoot only took about an hour and a half, despite me having quite a few clothing options to choose from which was brilliant. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for high quality photos to choose Model Portfolio Photography, as I had a great time there.

From the moment John opened the front door,I felt his positive energy,warmth and free spirit.This did not change when we arrived upstairs to his studio.The shoot was with my 11 year old daughter and my 8 year old son tagged along and he immediately put them at ease with his corny but funny jokes which they loved and they in turn enthusiastically shared theirs with him.My children instantly relaxed and laughed all the way through.As a result the pictures were amazing! Highly recommend! Today we brought our 2yrld daughter Bonnie for her first portfolio/photos. We had a photo shoot with John on Saturday for our Daughter Olivia. John was wonderful with Olivia he made her comfortable and at ease from the moment we walked through the door. The photos he took were incredible and his instructions to Olivia for the poses were easy for her to understand and do. I would highly recommend John to anybody as his knowledge in the industry is second to none

My daughter (9 months) and I had a wonderful experience with John. He made us feel relaxed and informed - and we left with incredible photos. My Son recently had his photos taken by John at Model Portfolio Photography. John was very engaging and made my Son feel comfortable in the studio and with the Photography process. The photos - all 163 of them were outstanding in both quality and professionalism. Three outfit changes and numerous head, mid and full length shots were exactly what was needed. From studio, viewing, payment and download all on the same day, I cannot fault this business. Thank you John.

I hear so many stories like yours of people going to these "model support" places (I won't mention their names) & I find it disgusting that they try to take so much money off people using pressure sales & give terrible advice. Had a shoot with John on 27/04/2025 and had a great experience. He is very professional and tells you all you need to know about getting into modelling. He gives you a list of great agencies to apply for and does all the shots needed to apply for them in the studio. He is very laid back and made me feel very much at ease. Fantastic photographer.

We had such a wonderful experience during Aris’s photoshoot! From the moment we arrived, the photographer was incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional. They created such a calm and friendly atmosphere that made Aris feel at ease right away — which, as any parent knows, is not always easy with a toddler! The way they captured his expressions, little smiles, and personality was truly amazing. Every photo was full of life and beautifully edited with a natural touch. We were beyond happy with the final results — they’re memories we’ll treasure forever. Highly recommend to any parents looking for quality, patience, and a real talent behind the camera. I would highly recommend using MPP. I really enjoyed the photoshoot and from the moment I arrived John made me feel relaxed. He is highly professional with excellent knowledge of the types of shots that need to be taken for agencies and for a portfolio. It was a very chilled out shoot where we chatted about many things and it made posing for shots so easy. John showed me various shots he had taken during the shoot and the quality of photos is brilliant. Very happy with my new portfolio with photos that captured me so well.
